VIRTUAL WORKSHOP: LEVERAGING AI FOR STORYTELLING

The San Antonio Storytellers Association invites all TSA members and TSA guilds to our fall virtual workshop titled "Leveraging AI for Storytelling." Ryan McPherson conducted an amazing Artificial Intelligence workshop for us a while back and he's back with updated AI fun for storytellers. It's important that we all grasp how AI has made a presence in our lives and how we can harness it for our own storytelling skills. On Saturday, September 6th from 10:00am - 11:00am on Zoom, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify at least three AI tools that can enhance different stages of the storytelling workflow, including ideation, drafting, and performance preparation.

  2. Use generative AI as a creative collaborator to co-develop story ideas or elements during a guided hands-on activity, while preserving their unique narrative voice and style.

You are invited to a Zoom meeting.
When: Sep 6, 2025 10:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada)

Spooky Tales by the River Storytelling Concert

We are eerily excited about our Spooky Tales by the River Storytelling Concert at Confluence Park. You really need to see for yourself just how beautiful this outdoor theater is! Bring your lawn chairs, ice chests, blankets and family and friends. Be prepared to be scared! We’ve got a great lineup of storytellers that will leave you wanting more! We have a special guest from the Dallas area, Michael Brundy who will share a ghost story of one of our older San Antonio hotels which is quite haunted! Our other scary tellers are from the San Antonio area but tell all over the U.S. and abroad: Mark Babino, Mary Ann Blue, Sue Kuentz, Jane McDaniel, and Larry Thompson. Prepare to be scared! (Oh, we might even catch a glimpse of author/storyteller, Xavier Garza who might just share one of his own San Antonio spooky legends with you!
