Our first Story Tellabration!™ 2016 in San Antonio took place on Saturday, November 12, 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mission Branch Library in SE San Antonio.

Story Tellabration!™ is a family event that encourages interactive participation around multicultural tales performed by experienced Texan storytellers.

Storytelling performances will take place in one indoor and two outdoor spaces, and children’s crafts will occur in another. Our trade mark is supported by The National Storytelling Network.

Different events will be going on in four areas of the library including storytelling by the featured storyteller, bilingual tellers, crafts, stories for PreK- High School, ghost stories and youth tellers. Find attached draft of the schedule in uploads.

Our line up of storytellers:

DeCee Cornish, Mary Grace Ketner, Mark Babino, Sue Kuentz, Carolina Quiroga-Stultz and naturalist Doug Elliot.

The previous week of the festival four storytellers visited and told stories at the following schools in San Antonio Bellaire Elementary,  Schulze Elementary School, and Stonewall/Flanders Elementary.

Story Tellabration!™ 2016 became possible thanks to an award granted by The City of San Antonio Department of Culture and Creative Development and The National Storytelling Network. We also counted with the support of the San Antonio Public Library, HEB, Harlandale ISD and the Tejas Storytelling Association.
